DALLAS – FORT WORTH, TEXAS
- Willow Bend Polo Club, Little Elm, TX ~ USPA Member Since 1973
- Stonebriar Polo Club, Oak Point TX
Mr. Norman Brinker founded the original Willow Bend Polo and Hunt Club in 1972-1973. By the 1980’s and early 1990’s Willow Bend Polo and Hunt Club was considered to be the largest and most popular polo clubs in the United States! For more specifics about the history and why it closed, which caused the formation of the Las Colinas Polo Club by enthusiastic “Willowbender” polo players, please go to the “History” page located on this site.
Recently in early 2016, Mr. Payne decided to re-activate his Willow Bend Polo Club to the public. He and his team are busy resurrecting competitive league play at his private polo ranch. They are busy developing a nice field side pavilion.

The spring/summer polo season in Texas runs typically from April/May through the end of June. Due to the heat of the summer for the safety of horse and rider, polo clubs take a break July & August. The fall schedule resumes after Labor Day in September and continues through the end of November due to the cold weather in December.
Polo fields are naturally lit by the sun, not stadium lights. Therefore you may notice the start times begin to vary due to daylight savings time.
Polo fields can be very slippery when wet which can make things a bit treacherous for the horse and rider that are traveling at speeds of up to 30-40 MPH on a wet grass lawn. Therefore, in the event of rain polo matches will be canceled.
- Stonebriar Polo Club is now managed by their next door neighbor, the Willow Bend Polo Club located in Little Elm, Texas
The Stonebriar Polo Club is very laid back and is a great league for players that are new to the sport while getting to play with some very experienced polo players that come with decades of polo in their dimly lineage.
Stonebriar Polo Club, Est. 1996 was founded and is owned by Dr. Vic J. Ramon. Vic served as the Governor of the U.S. Polo Association representing the Southwest region for many years. Therefore Vic knows all about polo all over the state of Texas and you may often see him umpiring the polo matches played at his Stonebriar Polo Club. Vic and his lovely wife Francie are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and gladly welcome all guests.
- Dallas Polo Club
Managed and operated by long time, high-goal polo pro Mr. Bill Walton.

- Prestonwood Polo Club, Oak Point, TX, Est. 2008
The Prestonwood Polo Club’s polo lawns have been removed and are currently under reconstruction. They do have arena polo which is played on sand, not grass. That being said, we do not want people to be misled, expecting a large, lush green lawn. They have plans for an expansive development, so stay tuned but it does not happen over night.

LUCCHESE LAKESHORE POLO CLUB – The private, local polo home of Texan Lucchese patron Mr. John Muse
Lucchese Lakeshore Polo Club does not currently have a website. The team usually plays high goal polo in Santa Barbara, Florida and across “the pond” in England. Occasionally this club has private events when the team is in Dallas.
When they are on property at Lakeshore Polo Club, Mr. Muse is open to allowing guest to host private events (charitable fundraisers, corporate and personal celebrations.) He kindly request that alcohol beverages be consumed in the most responsible manners possible. Mr. Muse’s groom’s have an apartment in the middle left of his beautiful barn and if you just knock first but he welcomes you to use the two bathrooms within his beautiful barn.
John Muse loves playing in Santa Barbara and even owns a home there as well. Recently he became the Club President of the Santa Barbara Polo Club and made the following statement posted on the SBPC website:
“On behalf of the (Santa Barbara Polo Club) Board of Directors, our overarching objective is to continue to grow and improve the customer experience for both players and fans alike at SBPRC. We know that Melanja Jones will help us achieve our goals and we are excited to welcome her back,” stated John Muse, Club President.
Not only has team Lucchese have wins within the Gold Cup tournament last summer at Cowdray in the UK, team Lucchese transports approximately 30 of their polo horses to compete in the highly coveted, high goal Pacific Coast Open tournament at the Santa Barbara Polo Club in California for the last several years July – September. TFP founder Charlotte and her mother attended the PCO finals to cheer on Mr. Muse & his team in 2008 and in 2013.
“Aside from his well-known enthusiasm for quality, high goal polo and his successful big business skills, John Muse is also a very dedicated family man with a sweet mother, beautiful wife, and several well-mannered adult children. Mr. Muse is a wonderfully well rounded man, loyal, and a class act in all he does. That is why I respect him so much.”
